Northeastern 159, Central Connecticut 141
Senior Brittany Gilles swept the diving events for Northeastern, winning both the 1-meter (242.02) and 3-meter (254.32). Gilles swept the diving events against Boston College in the Huskies' first meet of the year.
Gilles was named CAA Diver of the Week for her efforts against Boston College. Junior Courtney Flanagan came in second in both diving events.
Sophomore Kathrine Fugge won both the 100 (53.18) and 200 (1:55.77) freestyle events, and was also on the 200-yard freestyle relay team that came in second. Junior Elena Alvarez won the 100 (1:08.39) and 200 (2:30.73) breaststroke events for the second straight meet for the Huskies, while senior Kara Lane took the 200 butterfly (2:11.08).
The Huskies will take on Vermont at 12 p.m. next Saturday in Burlington, Vt.
