Northeastern defeats Dartmouth, 165.5-134.5
Lane, a co-captain, posted wins in the 100 (57.09) and 200 (2:06.08) butterfly events and contributed to the team's first place finish in the 200 medley relay (1:49.34). Wallace won both diving events, scoring 272.48 in the 1-meter and 289.43 in the 3-meter. Her score in the 3-meter is a new personal record, surpassing the score of 275.60 she earned in the team's last meet against Boston University and New Hampshire on Jan. 19.
In the short distance freestyle events, sophomore Kathrine Fugge swept the 50 (24.86), 100 (53.11) and 200 (1:53.81) for the fifth time this season. In the 100 backstroke, the Huskies placed in the first three spots, including junior Alexandra Doty (1:00.50), freshman Carolyn Marsh (1:01.98) and sophomore Natalia Snegour (1:02.02). Snegour also finished third in the 200 backstroke (2:11.92).
Junior Elena Alvarez swept the breaststroke events, taking the 100 (1:06.23) and the 200 (2:26.89). She also placed second in the 200 IM (2:12.81).
Sophomore Emily Sutliff finished third in the 500 (5:18.80) and second in the 1000 (10:52.51) freestyle events.
The Huskies finished the season undefeated for the first time since the 2001-02 season. Northeastern will next participate in the CAA Championship on Wed., Feb. 27 at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.

Barletta Natatorium (Boston, MA)Northeastern concluded the 2007-08 season with a 165.5-134.5 win over Dartmouth at Barletta Natatorium on Saturday, finishing with a 10-0 record (3-0 CAA). Seniors Kara Lane and Brooks Wallace delivered big in their final regular season with the Huskies, winning all of their events after being honored prior to the meet as part of Senior Day.
