Volleyball signs three recruits for 2010
The Northeastern volleyball team has signed three student-athletes for
2010-11. Head Coach Ken Nichols made the announcement on Thursday.
Joining the Huskies next fall will be Kelly Bacon, Ina Kamenova and
Janelle Tucker. Northeastern completed the 2009 season with a 15-12 overall record and will return 11 players from last season's squad in 2010.

Brown named to All-CAA second team
Britney Brown of the volleyball team was named to the All-CAA second team, the conference announced on Sunday. It is the second time Brown
has garnered All-Conference accolades. In 2008, Brown received first-team All-CAA honors and was named to the preseason All-Conference
team this year. Northeastern finished with a 15-12 record in 2009.

Huskies edge Towson 3-2 on Senior Day
Britney Brown matched a career-high of 20 kills and added 19 assists
and 10 digs for her fifth triple-double of the season as Northeastern
defeated Towson 3-2 in volleyball on Sunday afternoon. Jillian Robinson
also posted a career-high of 15 kills as Northeastern hit .225 as a
team and held Towson to just .071. It was the final game for seniors
Leah Neubeck and Jessica Tkachuk. Northeastern completes the 2009 season with a 15-12 overall record, and 8-6 in CAA play.

Huskies fall to Delaware 3-0
Jessica Tkachuk and Jillian Robinson had eight kills but Northeastern
fell to Delaware 3-0 in volleyball on Friday at Solomon Court. The Huskies return to action Sunday, November 15 at 1 p.m. taking on
Towson on Senior Day. The team will honor its seniors Leah Neubeck and
Jessica Tkachuk before the match.

Brown named Student-Athlete of the Week
Britney Brown of the volleyball team has been named Northeastern's Student-Athlete of the Week. Brown led the Huskies to a pair of key victories this past weekend to keep playoff hopes alive for the CAA Tournament. Brown totaled 34 kills, 37 assists, 21 digs and nine blocks in two games. The Huskies return to action on Friday, November 13 as it takes on CAA-leading Delaware at 5 p.m. at Solomon Court.
