The Northeastern volleyball team finished up its regular season road schedule on a sour note, falling to William & Mary 3-0 (30-22, 30-23, 30-24) Saturday in Williamsburg, Va. Whitney Turner led the Huskies with 14 kills, while the Tribe got 12 from Mandy Mayo. With the loss, the Huskies are now 10-14 (7-8 Colonial Athletic Association), while William & Mary is 16-8 (11-3 CAA). The Tribe remain in second place in the conference, while the Huskies are now sixth, just behind Georgia State (7-7 CAA).

Northeastern was outhit in the match .248 to .148, and registered fewer kills than the Tribe in each of the three games. In the first game, William & Mary hit a resounding .371 with 18 kills in the frame. Four of those kills came from Mayo, who made no errors and hit .800. Turner registered five kills for NU.

In game two, each team hit .268, but the Tribe was able to take advantage of the opportunities it was given, taking the game 30-23. Caitlin Geraghty posted five kills in the frame, while Mayo added four.

In the final frame, the Huskies held the Tribe to just a .122 attack percentage, but the William & Mary defense was equally impressive, and NU hit just .022. The Tribe registered five blocks in the frame, three by Megan Eisenmann and two apiece for Geraghty and Kate Woffindin.

Kira Batura registered 10 digs in the match, and has now recorded double-digit digs in 29 straight matches for the Huskies. Ashley Reeves and Sarah Stein each had four blocks for NU, while Ivana Pavlisin made 18 assists.

The Huskies return to Boston next weekend for conference matches with Delaware and Towson. NU will host Delaware on Friday, Nov. 4 and Towson on Saturday, Nov. 5. Both games will be held at Solomon Court at 5 p.m.
