The Huskies fell to undefeated and No. 25 Middle Tennessee State in the Blue Raider Bash 3-0 (30-14, 30-23, 30-13) on Friday afternoon in Murfreesboro, Tenn. The loss snaps Northeastern’s three match winning streak. Lauren DeTurk and Caitlin Tittl each had seven kills for the Huskies, while Jessica Tkachuk had 13 assists. Northeastern gets back in action Saturday morning at 11 a.m. against Belmont University in the second game of the tournament.
Tittl hit .385 for the match, while freshman Britney Brown recorded double digit assists for the ninth straight time this season, coming up with 10. She also had four block assists.
Middle Tennessee’s Ashely Mead and Izabela Kozon led all players with eight kills.
