Freshman outside hitter Caitlin Tittl was named CAA co-Rookie of the Week, the conference announced today. In two wins over the weekend against UNC Wilmington and Georgia State, Titil recorded 27 kills, an average of 3.38 kills per game, and hit .322 over the two matches. Tittl also recorded a team high 10 blocks over the two games. At 9-3, the Huskies are in second place in the CAA, just one game behind Delaware with two regular season games to play.

In Friday’s win over UNC Wilmington, Tittl had a match high 15 kills and hit a match high .423 in the Huskies’ 3-0 win. In Saturday’s win over Georgia State, Tittl was one of four Huskies to record double-digit kills with 12.

The freshman from Bakersfield, CA is third on the team in kills with 243 and has reached double-figures in kills 14 times. She is the third Husky this season to be honored by the CAA, as Lauren DeTurk was named Player of the Week last week, and Britney Brown was named Rookie of the Week in September.
