Shaleyse Smallwood continued to etch her place in the Northeastern record books Thursday afternoon, scoring a team high 16 points and moving into seventh place on the program's all-time scoring list. However her efforts were not enough as Old Dominion won 83-46, improving to a perfect 12-0 in the CAA, 21-3 overall. Megan Pym scored a game high 19 points and had nine rebounds for the Lady Monarchs, who earn their 15th win in a row.
The larger Lady Monarchs used their size advantage to out score the Huskies in the paint, however Northeastern held its own on the glass. The Huskies were especially strong on the offensive glass, narrowly falling in that department 14-13.
Lucia Pablos had a strong game for the Huskies, scoring 14 points on 6-9 shooting in just 23 minutes. Kendra Walton added 10, and was the team's leading rebounder with seven.
Tiffany Green and T.J. Jordan both added 16 points for Old Dominion.
Northeastern completes its three game road trip Sunday afternoon against William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va. It'll be the first meeting of the season between the two programs. The game can be seen live on Comcast SportsNet New England at 3 p.m.
