Ashlee Feldman hit three three-pointers in overtime as the Huskies beat George Mason 83-77 for their sixth straight win. The Huskies were 4-4 from the field in overtime, and outscored the Patriots 14-8 in the extra frame. Lucia Pablos scored a team high 21 points for NU. The Huskies finish the season 8-10 in the CAA, and as the No. 6 seed in the CAA Tournament, will play George Mason again in the first round next Thursday at 2:30 p.m.

With Mason leading 71-70 in overtime, Feldman hit the first of her three triples, giving NU a 73-71 lead with 3:54 remaining. Mason's Rashauna Hobbs answered with a three of her own on the next possession, but Stefanie Hodell gave the Huskies the lead back with a lay-up.

Now leading 75-74, Feldman connected again with 2:20 left. After a Shaleyse Smallwood foul shot, two foul shots for the Patriots by Moni Akintunde made the score 79-76 Northeastern with 1:11 remaining. Back with the ball, Feldman connected one more time, giving the Huskies an 82-76 lead with 52 seconds left. Northeastern then salted the remaining time away, and held on for its sixth straight win, the school's longest winning streak since the 1998-99 season.

With the game tied 67-67 with 1:12 left in regulation, Pablos hit a running jumper on the baseline to give the Huskies a 69-67 lead. Northeastern then seemed to have the game in control after stopping the Patriots on their next possession and getting the ball back with 55 seconds remaining. The Huskies though couldn't get a shot off and turned the ball back over to George Mason on a shot clock violation with 23.7 seconds left.

Needing a basket to stay in the game, senior Lateisha Wade drove to the basket and scored with 6.7 seconds left, tying the game at 69. After calling a timeout to set up the final play, the Huskies put the ball in the hands of Smallwood, but she stepped out of bounds while dribbling up the court with 3.6 seconds to go. With a chance to win, the Patriots could only muster a three-pointer from just inside half-court that fell short, sending the game into overtime.

A tremendous offensive display helped the Huskies open up a 17-point lead in the first half. Leading 14-10, a lay-up by Kendra Walton gave the Huskies a 16-10 lead and began one of Northeastern's best and most efficient stretches of offense this season. Walton's basket began a stretch where the Huskies scored on seven straight offensive possessions and went on a 15-2 run over four minutes to take a 29-12 lead.

After Walton scored, Jasmine Crew and Kim Carr followed with baskets. After a steal by Smallwood, Crew connected on a jumper. On the next possession Feldman made a three, and baskets by Pablos and Feldman closed out the streak.

Trailing by 17 points, the Patriots went on a run of their own, using a 13-3 spurt to get to within seven points at 32-25 on a basket by Casey Quigley with 1:31 left in the half. The Huskies though were able to halt the Patriots' momentum heading into the break, getting two foul shots from Pablos and one from Smallwood to take a 35-27 lead into halftime.

Smallwood scored 10 points to move into fifth place on the school's all-time scroing list and into a tie for fourth place. Her next point will move her past Maralene Zwarich for fourth place.

Akintunde matched Pablos with 21 points, while Feldman chipped in 17 on 5-6 shooting from behind the arc. Carr nearly had a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.

The Huskies finish the regular season 13-15 overall, 8-10 in the CAA.
