Huskies face Rhode Island Saturday
The Northeastern women's basketball returns to action on Saturday, November 21 at 2:30 p.m. taking on the Rhode Island Rams at Matthews Arena. The game is part of a double-header, following the men's basketball game against Utah State. The Huskies are 1-1 on the season, fresh off a 66-46 road win over Delaware State. Huskies down Delaware State 66-46
Kendra Walton scored 16 points and added seven rebounds while Rachael Pecota scored 12 first half points to lead Northeastern past Delaware State 66-46 on Wednesday night. Northeastern held Delaware State to just 25 percent shooting, handing the Hornets their first home loss in nearly a year. The Huskies improve to 1-1 on the season and return to action on Saturday, November 21 taking on Rhode Island at Matthews Arena.

Huskies fall at No. 1 Connecticut
Tina Charles had 26 points and 13 rebounds to lead six players in double-figures No. 1 Connecticut beat Northeastern 105-35 on Saturday at Gampel Pavilion in the first regular season contest for both teams. Rachael Pecota scored 10 points to lead Northeastern in her Huskies debut while Kim Carr and Kashaia Cannon scored seven points each. Northeastern returns to action on Wednesday, November 18 as it takes on Delaware State at 5:30 p.m.

Northeastern at No. 1 UConn tickets available
Tickets for the Northeastern women's basketball team season opener against No. 1 Connecticut at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, Conn. on November 14 are available for purchase at the Northeastern ticket office until Friday, November 13. Tickets are $22.00. Fans can buy tickets in person at 109 Ell Hall or call the Northeastern ticket office at 617-373-4700.

Women's basketball to hold Red vs. Black scrimmage
Fans will be able to get a preview of the 2009-10 Northeastern women's basketball team as it hosts a Red vs. Black scrimmage on Tuesday, November 10 at 7 p.m. at Solomon Court. The first 500 fans will receive a free t-shirt and free pizza will be available. Northeastern, under fourth-year head coach Daynia La-Force Mann returns 11 letterwinners from a season ago, including all-rookie selection Brittany Wilson, and start the regular season on November 14 against No. 1 Connecticut at 2 p.m.
