| 2007-08 Schedule/Results Smallwood named second team All-CAA
Smallwood, who was a second team Preseason All-CAA selection, is 11th in the conference in scoring and 10th in field goal percentage at 42.6 percent. More than just a scorer, Smallwood is fourth in the CAA in assists at 4.46 per game, and third in assist/turnover ratio at 1.60.
Smallwood is playing her best basketball of the season as the Huskies have reeled of six consecutive wins and seven of eight overall. In the seven wins, she is averaging 18.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, and is shooting 48.9 percent from the floor. On Feb. 10 at Hofstra, she scored 32 points in the 71-67 win over the Pride, which is tied for the most points scored in a game by a CAA player this season.
After leading the Huskies to wins over George Mason on Feb. 21 and Georgia State on Feb. 24, she was named CAA Player of the Week for the third time in her career. In the two wins, she averaged 22.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and shot 54.5 percent.
Smallwood and the Huskies finished the regular season 13-15, 8-10 in the CAA. Northeastern earned the No. 6 seed in the CAA Tournament and will be looking for its seventh straight win against George Mason in the first round Thursday at 2:30 p.m. from the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark, Del.
