Northeastern Women's Basketball Walk the Walk

The women’s basketball team worked as course guides at the 20th Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. The Huskies provided walkers information on where to register and also provided assistance to the walkers on where to go. The women’s basketball team also cheered on the walkers as they walked along the 26.2-mile course.

The walk took place on along the ever so famous Boston Marathon course. Friends, families, and patients facing all forms and the effects of cancer, participated in the event. The walk has contributed to over $51 million over 19 years. This years’ walk is expected to raise over $7.2 million.

The women’s basketball team opens up the 2008-09 campaign against Big East opponent, St. John’s on Nov. 14.
