Boston University with a mighty push in the second 500 defeated Northeastern University by a length this morning on a calm but foggy Charles River.

The two crews were equal after the settle when BU made a move at the 400-meter mark. They were out by a half-length at 500 and by a length and three quarters at the 1000-meter half way mark. Northeastern rallied over the final 500 to close within 3.8 seconds.

This was BU's sixth straight victory in the 25th rowing of the race, which the Terriers lead 19 to 6. NU now stands at 3-6 and will row Yale and Brown next week in Derby, CT.
