Huskies earn split

The Northeastern University women's crew defeated Buffalo and lost to Dartmouth on the Charles River this morning. Sloppy weather conditions moved the rowing to the 1400-meter power house stretch of the Charles, where all races were rowed head-to-head. NU bested Buffalo 5:25.0 to 5:41.6 and then lost to Dartmouth 5:08.2 to 5:10.0.

In the feature race with Dartmouth, the Big Green got a half length lead at the start, but NU pulled even at 700-meters. The Huskies took a brief two seat lead, but Dartmouth owned the final 500 and won by six seats.
