Women's crew wins Woodbury Cup

The Northeastern women’s crew team defeated Columbia by 5.5 seconds over the 2,000 meter course on the Charles River this morning. NU now leads the series with nine wins to Columbia’s four.

The Huskies led all the way, gaining a half-length at 500 and extending it to a full length at 1,000. In the remaining 1,000 they protected their lead. They crossed the finish line at 7:11.7 to the Lions’ 7:17.2. NU now stands at 3-1 for the season and faces Boston University next Saturday on the Charles.
