Women's Crew Finishes Sixth at Eastern Sprints

Women's Crew fell to five Ivy League schools in the varsity eight Grand Final at the Eastern Sprints Sunday afternoon, completing a day filled with mixed results for the Huskies.

NU had previously finished second in the first heat of the varsity eight race, falling to favored Yale by just under four seconds, but qualifying for the final heat.

Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Rutgers and MIT also competed in the varsity race and finished third through sixth respectively.

The novice eight kicked off the day for Northeastern with a third place finish in heat #3 of the novice eight race, finsihing behind Pennsylvania and Rutgers. They finished fifth in the Petite Final.

The second varsity eight had yet another third place finish for NU, falling to Brown in heat #1 of the second varsity race. The Bears convincingly took first place, and Pennsylvania comfortably took second. However, the 2nd varsity won the Petite.

In the Varsity Fours competition, the Huskies qualified in the morning with a second place finish to Radcliffe and placed sixth in the Grand Final.
