The Northeastern University women's crew team defeated Texas in the third and final race of the 2008 Charles River Challenge on Sunday.
The Huskies finished at 6:37.5, 9.1 seconds ahead of Texas (6:46.6). There was a light cross tail on the 2000-meter course during the race.
Yesterday, Northeastern bested Syracuse and Gonzaga in the evening race, but fell to Notre Dame earlier in the day in the morning race. NU went 3-1 for the CRC.
The Huskies, now 8-1, will next face Massachusetts on Saturday on the Charles at 8:36 a.m.
