Northeastern Women's Hockey Results Providence College goaltender Sara DeCosta turned away each of the 35 shots that Northeastern skaters took at her as the Friars topped the Huskies 2-0. Jessica Tabb scored her second goal of the season and assisted on the first career goal for Jenn Butsch. The win earned a split of the home-and-home series for PC, who dropped a 2-0 decision in Rhode Island last night. Providence took the lead with 6:37 gone in the second period, as Tabb put a rebound shot into the NU goal. Butsch's insurance goal came on the power play with 16:00 left in the third. The Huskies had two goals disallowed, one for a player in the crease and another for a high stick deflection. The game featured 14 penalties, with Providence converting one of eight power plays, while NU failed to convert on six chances with the man advantage. Northeastern falls to 5-2-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the ECAC, while Providence College ups their ECAC mark to 3-1-0, and their overall record to 4-2-0.
