| 1999-2000 Schedule/Results Northeastern 1, Brown 1 (OT)
Brown took the early lead, scoring 4:38 into the first period as the Bears’ Tamra Jones scored her fourth goal of the season from Jordan Jiskra. Michelle Lorion (pictured) knotted the game at 1-1 just 1:06 into the third period. She managed to push a rebound of Jennie Setaro’s shot past Brewer for her eighth goal of her freshman season. In overtime, each side was able to manage four shots, but the superb goaltending of each side prevailed. NU’s Brooke White twice fired blasts that Brewer was able to turn away. Brown’s Courtney Johnson tried to end the game with 2:30 left, but Silva was there once again. With 1:15 left to go, the Bears’ Kristy Zimka unleashed a blast towards the NU goal that Silva was able to snare. NU’s Hilary Witt was able to split Brown defenders Tara Mounsey and Cara Gardner with 20 seconds remaining, but she was unable to beat Brewer, and the game ended in a 1-1 tie. Each side was unable to convert on the power play, with both the Huskies and Bears going 0-2 with the extra attacker. The tie moves the Huskies to 13-2-2 overall and 8-1-2 in the ECAC, while Brown is now 7-1-2 in the conference, and 8-2-2 overall.
