| 1999-2000 Schedule/Results Harvard 4, Northeastern 3 (OT)
Notching four goals and three assists in the tournament, Botterill was named the Most Valuable Player. However, the inaugural Joe Bertagna Award for the tourney's best netminder went to Northeastern's Erika Silva (pictured), who finished with a season-high 32 saves against Harvard and a two-game save percentage of .914. Sophomore Brooke Whitney gave the Huskies the early lead when she recorded the seventh goal of her abbreviated season, as she rounded out her tourney production totals with a goal and an assist in each game. Junior Lisa Giovanelli also scored in the first period for Northeastern to keep the Huskies ahead at 2-1 after one frame. But the Crimson roared back, scoring goals two minutes apart in the second period to dampen Husky hopes. NU junior Kathleen Savino recaptured the team's momentum when she took a swift crossing pass from Kim Vallone and found the high corner on Harvard netminder Crystal Springer, who finished with 20 saves. A scoreless third period sent the game to overtime, where three of the last four meetings between these teams have ended. Botterill also scored in OT in last year's Beanpot semifinal, while a match earlier this month ended in a 1-1 tie.
