| 1999-2000 Schedule/Results Brown 2, Northeastern 1
Action picked up midway through the second period following a scoreless opening stanza. Brown's All-Star goaltender Ali Brewer made an agile stop on Lisa Giovanelli just seconds before taking a Jennie Setaro slapshot directly off her mask. Brewer's heroics seemed to fire up the Brown offense, as the Bears subsequently recorded a flurry of chances at the other end leading to Kathleen Kauth's goal launched from the high slot at 11:35. Brewer came up big again later in the period, making a juggling save on Hilary Witt's breakaway attempt at 19:15. Setaro (pictured) got the Huskies on the board early in the third period, ringing a shot off the right post and in at 1:02 to tie the score at 1-1. Minutes later, NU's Kathleen Savino was whistled for tripping, giving Brown its third power play of the game. Following another Witt breakaway that Brewer again stopped, Brown's Jordan Jiskra snuck a slapshot past Northeastern netminder Erika Silva to recover the Bears' lead. The Huskies received a similar power play chance late in the third, but Brewer's stops on Northeastern's top unit saved the victory for the Bears. Brewer finished with 31 saves, just edging a similarly strong effort by Silva, who ended up with 30 saves. NU concludes its season at 22-9-3. Brown went on to clinch its second ECAC title with a 6-3 win over Dartmouth in Sunday's championship game. Scoring: 1st Period: 2nd Period: 3rd Period: Northeastern Goaltending:
