BOSTON, MA - The third-ranked women's hockey team won for the fourth straight time and eighth time in the last nine with a 4-0 victory on Sunday over Yale. It was NU's sixth shutout of the season. With the win, the Huskies improve to 18-2-0 on the season while Yale drops to 6-10-0. Sunday's game was the 19th all-time meeting between NU and Yale, and the Huskies have won all 19. A pair of freshmen led the way for the Huskies. Goalie Marisa Hourihan stopped all 22 shots she faced for her first career complete game shutout. On the season, Hourihan has stopped all 68 shots she has faced in 182:53 of action. Her record is now 3-0-0 on the season. Forward Lindsay Ball scored a pair of second period goals for her first career multi-goal game. NU got on the board in the first period when Michelle Lorion scored at 17:33 off an assist from Brooke White. The first period ended with NU ahead 1-0. In the second period, Ball scored NU's next two goals. At 5:01, she knocked in a rebound of a White shot. Erica Archambeau also assisted on the play. Ball added her second goal of the game at 16:21 of the second with Kim Greene picking up the assist. The scoring was completed late in the third period when Greene scored at 19:23 off assists from Jess Judge and Trazana Brown. For the game, NU outshot Yale 40-22. Nicolette Franck made 36 stops for Yale. With a pair of assists on the day, White now has 21 on the season, tops on the team, and 30 points. Greene picked up a pair of points to give her 26 on the season. She had 24 points as a freshman and 25 as a sophomore and now 26 as a junior.
