BOSTON, MA — Two goals, including the game-winner, by freshman Lindsay Ball was enough to give the second-ranked Huskies a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over New Hampshire and their 23rd win of the season.

It was Northeastern's ninth straight victory.

NU came out of the gates a step slow and found themselves down 2-0 at 12:57 in the first period. The Huskies eventually stepped up later in the first when Ball found the back of the net of passes from Pamela Pachal and Brooke White with six minutes remaining. White assisted on all three Husky goals to raise her team-high season mark to 28.

The Huskies would own the second period as they outshot the Wildcats 20-8. Brooke Whitney tied the game at two when she skated along the endline and flipped a backhand past New Hampshire goalie Jen Huggon, who had a season-high 42 saves in the game. Ball put the finishing touches on a great comeback when she collected her own rebound and wristed home the game-winner with nine minutes left in the period.

Chanda Gunn made eight of her 28 saves in the third period and kept the Wildcats scoreless to seal the victory for the NU.

Northeastern returns to action on Tuesday against Harvard in the 24th annual Women's Beanpot to be played at Matthews Arena.
