Cyndy Kenyon's third goal of the season led the Huskies to a second consecutive 1-1 tie with Quinnipiac in the season finale at Matthews Arena Saturday.
Quinnipiac's Jayne Riley put the Bobcats on the board in the first period, putting a short-handed goal past Marissa Hourihan at 13:46. Hourihan finished with 17 saves.
Despite outshooting the Bobcats 37-18, Northeastern could not muster any offense until Kenyon's goal 10:07 into the third period. Rebecca Paul and Lori DiGiacomo assisted on the goal.
The Huskies were not able to clinch a playoff birth in the first women's Hockey East Tournament as Maine defeated Connecticut earlier Saturday, 2-0, moving ahead of Northeastern for the final playoff spot.
