The Huskies rallied from a two-goal deficit to Boston College on Friday but could not hold off the No. 10 Eagles and lost 4-2.

The Eagles got on the scoreboard first, thanks to the fourth goal of the season from Deb Spillane at 17:27 in the first period. During an offensive push Meghan Fardelmann passed the puck from the right side of the net to Spillane who tucked it past NU goalie Leah Sulyma, who dove in an attempt to cover the left post.

The Husky defense wouldn't allow the Eagles to score again in the period and had a big penalty kill when captain Nikki Petrich was called for holding. The Eagles used the man-advantage to pound Sulyma with shots, but the freshman goalie stopped them all, even sprawling across the crease to cover post to post. Overall Sulyma stopped 12 of the 13 BC shots in the first period.

The Eagles added to the lead in the second, this time taking advantage of a powerplay. Annie Hogan was whistled for hooking and with the advantage the Eagles rushed the net. After a series of shots, the puck was hit behind Sulyma by Colleen Harris and slowly crawled over the goal line, doubling the Eagles' lead. Before the end of the second period, Allie Thunstrom would give the Eagles a 3-0 advantage with her fifth goal of the season. BC's Maggie Taverna was put in the box for tripping at 19:07, allowing the Huskies to open up the final frame on a powerplay.

Northeastern posted its first tally right out of the gate in the third period on that powerplay advantage when Kehoe got her sixth of the season, assisted by Katy Applin and Lindsay Berman, two of the top scoring defensemen in Hockey East.

The Huskies followed it up with Sperry's goal, assisted by Brenna Frost, at 5:43 to pull within one, but that was all the offense the team could muster in the game.

Meghan Fardelmann put the finishing touches on the Eagles' win with her fifth goal of the season, from Spillane and Kelli Stack, at 15:17, giving the BC its fourth and final goal of the night. The Huskies will return to Matthews Arena on Tuesday night to host Quinnipiac at 7 p.m.
