For the second day in a row, the Huskies ventured into overtime with an Ivy League opponent, only this time earning a 3-3 tie with Brown on Sunday at Matthews Arena. Freshman Alyssa Wohlfeiler provided the offensive spark for the Huskies, tallying a goal and an assist, while freshman goalie Leah Sulyma made an impressive 35 saves.

After a scoreless first period, both teams got on the board in the second. Brown struck first at 1:17 with Erin Connors' goal, assisted by Nicole Brown. Connors shot the puck right over freshman goaltender Leah Sulyma's left shoulder and into the net, putting the Bears up 1-0.

Northeastern answered back four minutes later when Petrich scored her team-leading 10th goal of the season, with assists from Alyssa Wohlfeiler (five) and Katy Applin (9). After Erin Connors was called for cross-checking, the Huskies made an offensive rush, and Applin passed the puck to Wohlfeiler go took the shot, which was saved by Brown goalie Nicole Stock. Petrich grabbed the rebound and sent it into the lower left hand corner of the net to tie the game at one apiece.

It was more of the same in the third period as both teams scored twice. Freshman Kristi Kehoe gave Northeastern the lead at 10:07 with her eighth goal of the season when she took a pass from behind net from Cassie Sperry and fired it from the point to put the Huskies up 2-1. Sperry earned her ninth eighth assist of the season on the play.

Just 30 seconds later, Wohlfeiler tallied her third of the season, with an assist by Annie Hogan, her second of the season. The goal gave the Huskies a 3-1 lead.

However, Brown would come storming back. About 16 minutes into the period, Andrea Hunter brought the Bears to within one with her second goal of the season, assisted by Hayley Moore.

With the clock winding down, Brown pulled stock in favor of an extra skater, which proved to be a smart move, as Moore scored her fourth goal of the season, tying the game 3-3 and sending the teams into overtime.

Both goalies played tight in the overtime period, as neither team was able to score. Stock topped 25 of the Huskies' shots, while Sulyma turned aside 35 from Brown.

The Huskies now stand at 4-11-2 overall on the season and will host No. 1 New Hampshire at 7 p.m., on Thursday at Matthews Arena.
