The Huskies scored a a 3-2, combeack victory over Boston College on Thursday at Conte Forum. Down 2-1 heading into the third period, NU scored two unanswered goals to come away with the win.

Things were neck and neck throughout the first period, as both teams' defenses played solidly. NU assistant captain Brenna Frost made a great play on a Kelli Stack breakway, poking the puck away to give the Huskies back possession.

Things remained scoreless until 16:55 in the first when BC's Brie Baskin received a cross-checking penalty, giving the Huskies their first powerplay of the game. Putting pressure on net, Lindsay Berman beat BC goalie Molly Schaus for the first score of the game, her fourth of the season, assisted by Nikki Petrich and Kristi Kehoe.

The Eagles answered back, scoring two goals within 10 seconds of each other. BC's Allie Thunstrom tied the game with her 10th goal of the season at 19:13. On the ensuing faceoff, Kelli Stack posted her 11th goal of the season, giving the Eagles 2-1 lead at the end of one.

After a scoreless second period, the Huskies netted two goals to take the lead 3-2. Katy Applin scored her first goal of the season to tie things up at 4:16 in the frame, assisted by Ginny Berg. Midway through the period, Kristi Kehoe gained possession of the puck and sent an excellent pass to Chelsey Jones. Jones beat two Eagle defensemen, and then rifled the puck past Schaus at 10:49 to give the Huskies the lead.

The Eagles put the pressure on in the final minutes, taking 16 shots in the third period, but NU rookie goalie Leah Sulyma was outstanding in net and ended the game with 41 saves, earning No. 1 star of the game honors. It marks the seventh straight game Sulyma has made 30 or more saves, and the fourth time she's made 40 saves. Her counterpart Schaus finished with 20 stops for the Eagles.

With the win, the Huskies improve to 5-13-2 overall and 4-5-0 in Hockey East play. The win ties the team's season win total from 2006-07. The win also give the Huskies the season series against Boston College 2-1, after being swept by the Eagles last season.
