Linda Lundrigan is in her fourth season on Laura Schuler’s staff, helping to rebuild the program she once played for. Lundrigan has been instrumental in recruiting and organizing special events in addition to her daily coaching role. Before coming to NU in 2004-05, Lundrigan spent three years as Schuler’s top assistant at UMass Boston. Lundrigan helped Schuler establish the program and see it to varsity status. In its first varsity season of 2003-04, the Beacons went 13-12-1 and made the ECAC East semifinals.

Prior to joining the UMass Boston staff, Lundrigan spent two seasons coaching the Newton Country Day School girls’ ice hockey team. She spent her first season as an assistant before becoming the head coach for the 2001-02 season. The team won the Eastern Independent School League title in 2001 and 2002. Before working at the Newton Country Day School, Lundrigan served as assistant coach for the Brooks School varsity team. She helped the team to a third-place finish in the Div. II Independent School League tournament. Lundrigan has also been an instructor for the Husky Women’s Hockey School at Northeastern.

Lundrigan was a teammate of Schuler at Northeastern from 1989-1993. While she was at NU, the Huskies compiled a 74-24-5 record and qualified for the playoffs every year. In 1991-92 as a junior, Lundrigan scored 11 goals and nine assists as the Huskies went 20-5-2. As a senior, she had a line of 5-6-11, and for her career she amassed 31 goals and 30 assists in 96 games.

Lundrigan was also a standout field hockey player for the Huskies. In her final field hockey season of 1993, she scored 15 points and was named to the America East All-Tournament team. She graduated from NU in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science.

Lundrigan is an avid runner and completed the Boston Marathon in 2001 and 2002. She is a 1996 inductee to the Melrose High Hall of Fame and now resides in Watertown.
