| 2007-08 Schedule/Results Women's hockey announces 2008-09 schedule
Following an exhibition game on Sept. 27 at Matthews Arena, the Huskies open up the season with a four-game road trip, beginning Oct. 3 at Rensselaer. NU then takes on the Union Dutchwomen (Oct. 4) and Bemidji State Beavers (Oct. 10-11) for the first time ever.
The Huskies come home to begin Hockey East play by hosting HEA tournament runner-up Providence at Matthews Arena on Oct. 18. The team will take on the Connecticut Huskies the following day and return home to host Quinnipiac on Oct. 25.
After a pair of home conference games against Boston College (Nov. 1) and Maine (Nov. 9), the Huskies spend the remainder of 2008 on the road, traveling to Wayne State (Nov. 15-16), NCAA Frozen Four participant New Hampshire (Nov. 26) and BC (Nov. 30). The two-game December slate features trips to Vermont (Dec. 6) and UNH (Dec. 9).
Similar to last season, the Huskies open up the new year facing Yale and Brown. The team finishes up its non-conference slate when it hosts Niagara Jan. 10-11. The end of January features two-game sets with UConn (Jan. 23-24) and Maine (Jan. 30-31).
February starts with the annual Beanpot tournament on Feb. 3, to be held this season at Matthews Arena. Following the first round action, the Huskies have a home-and-home series with Providence from Feb. 6-7 before participating in round two of the Beanpot on Feb. 10. After a two-game home stand with Vermont (Feb 14-15), the Huskies face off with BU in a home-and-home series to wrap up the regular season.
The ultimate goal for Northeastern this season will be advancing to the Hockey East tournament, which will take place from Feb. 28-March 8.
