Few things have been left unsaid when it comes to Hilary Witt. The senior winger has been a Northeastern superheroine for four seasons running. Starting with a 24-goal, ECAC Tournament MVP season as a freshman, Witt has steadily climbed the scoring leaderboard at NU and should break the records for career goals and points before she’s through. This versatile athlete has it all, both offensively and defensively, and is sure to again be a candidate for the Patty Kazmaier Award, given annually to the top player in the women’s game. 1998-99: Had six multiple-goal games, including hat tricks against Saint-Laurent (Nov. 8) and Queens College (Nov. 28)...had 10 games with at least three points, including a 2-2-4 line against Niagara (Jan. 16) and four assists against BU (Feb. 9)...had a six-game point streak to open the season, and had 18 points through the first 11 games...best stretch of the year saw her amass eight goals and 13 assists in a nine-game run...ten of her 27 goals came on the power play...scored the game-winning goal against Providence in the ECAC quarterfinals (Mar. 13)...named second team All-ECAC and was a Kazmaier Award candidate for the second consecutive year. 1997-98: Total of 32 goals was the second-highest in Husky history and her 58 points ranked third-best ever...had four hat tricks on the season, including three consecutive against Princeton, Boston College and Dartmouth...named second team All-ECAC...was a candidate for the first-ever Patty Kazmaier Award. 1996-97: Led the team in goals with 24 and was second in points (44) and assists (20)...twice named ECAC Rookie of the Week...over the final 18 games, scored 14 goals and had 13 assists...named MVP of the ECAC Tournament after final-game two-goal performance. Before NU: Lettered all four years at Canton High in softball...captained her softball team as a senior...named Boston Globe All-Scholastic in softball in 1996...was a member of the Assabet Valley national championship ice hockey teams of 1990-91 and 1993-94.
