Notes: The Huskies continued to slump on the road. Vermont, the only America East team with a worse league record than Northeastern prior to the game, found its first conference victory of the season against the Huskies. Northeastern's winless streak was extended to eight games with the 8-1 loss to UVM. The Catamounts scored early in the first half (8:58), and often in the second. All seven goals that made up the Catamounts' margin of victory came in the second half. Vermont's was led by Megan Mattes' hat trick and two assists. Northeastern's day was not a total loss, however. In the 42nd minute of the contest sophomore forward Kate Mercier ended NU's six-game scoreless streak and notched the Huskies' first America East goal of the season. This goal also knotted the game at 1-1 going into halftime. Mercier's unassisted goal was her first score in a Husky uniform.
