NOTES:
Northeastern won its season opener for the third straight season, scoring a pair of goals in the first half and facing little pressure all afternoon. Junior Kate Mercier scored the Huskies' first goal of the year 16 minutes into the game off a pass from senior Mia Kiistala. It was a much-needed positive start for the Huskies, now in their fourth season of varsity competition. NU went 0-14-1 in its final 15 games of the 1998 season.
