Rhode Island's Mary Drapetis' 30-yard scoring blast with 28:30 left in the first half broke a 1-1 tie and Ram goalkeeper Jamie Epperlein and the URI defense fought off a number of NU scoring chances to emerge with the win. URI's Lindsey Fish scored the first goal, beating NU goalkeeper Rachelle Parkinson on a breakaway. NU's Mia Kiistala put a rebound of a Kate Mercier shot past Epperlein to tie the score.
