The Northeastern women's soccer team lost for only the second time this season, 1-0, Tuesday night to Holy Cross at Sweeney Field.

After a scoreless first half, Holy Cross's Erin Patterson headed in a pass from Elizabeth Terry at 50:01.

The Hukies controlled most of the game, outshooting the Crusaders 16-10 and had six corner kicks compared to only one for Holy Cross. NU had a 6-4 advantage at the half in shots and 10-6 in the second half. But the Holy Cross D and goalkeeper Tiffany DeCoff turned aside every NU scoring chance. DeCoff finished the game with eight saves.

Shellie Parkinson made two saves for the Huskies. NU falls to 9-2-1 with the loss while Holy Cross improves to 4-8-1.
