ORONO, ME - The Northeastern University women's soccer team played to a 2-2 tie with Maine on Thursday afternoon in America East action in Orono, Maine.

The Black Bears scored the only goal of the first half at the 48:43 mark and took a 1-0 lead to the break. Maine's Kate Crawford dribbled in and drove a shot past NU goalie Shellie Parkinson to score an unassisted goal.

The Huskies came out of the halftime break ready to score as Caitlin Springer netted her team-leading sixth goal of the season just 3:43 into the second half. Springer took a pass from Liz Dyjack and lobbed the ball over Maine keeper Naomi Welsh's head.

At the 79:19 mark, Melissa Cohen knocked in a loose ball mishandled by Welsh in, to put NU up 2-1 with just over 10 minutes to play. Shannon Dwyer recorded her first assist of the season on Cohen's goal.

With time winding down, Maine's Linda Consolante took Annie Hamel's indirect kick inside the penalty box and sent it past Parkinson to even the score at 88:42.
