Stony Brook jumped out to quick lead and rolled to a 4-0 win over Northeastern at Parsons Field on Sunday afternoon. Beth Arikian, Kerri McCabe, Emily Snyder and Kristin Lynch all scored goals for new America East member Stony Brook (2-10-2, 2-5-1 America East). The Huskies (6-4-4, 2-3-3) were outshot 19-11 and dropped to 1-4-2 in their last seven games. Arikian took the rebound off a Krish Zagura shot that hit the crossbar and fired a blast from 25 yards out the found the bottom right corner of the net at the 13:24 mark. McCabe tallied her second goal of the season in the 32nd minute, taking a feed from sophomore Sarah Greenberg to give Stony Brook a 2-0 lead. Snyder scored less than six minutes later, giving the Seawolves a commanding 3-0 halftime lead with a shot from 35 yards out that rippled the top right corner of the net. NU starting goalie Shellie Parkinson was relieved by Cynthia Slowik after the Seawolves' third goal. The Seawolves added insurance on Kristin Lynch's header off Leanna Yust's feed to make it 4-0 in the 63rd minutes. Lori Nelson made three saves in posting her second shutout of the season.
