SAN JOSE, CA - The Northeastern women's soccer team was handed its first defeat of the season by Pacific, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon at the San Jose Tournament. The loss snapped a seven game unbeaten streak by the Huskies.

Northeastern was forced to play without its three top defenders due to injury. Emily Haahr (calf injury) and Rebecca Viviani (knee injury) were sidelined, while Amy Devendorf (knee injury) was injured just five minutes into the game.

The Dogs had their work cut out for them as Pacific took advantage of the hurting Huskies by netting three first half goals. Keeper Shellie Parkinson gave up all three goals and was relieved in the second half by Cynthia Slowik, who stopped the only shot she was faced with in the second frame of action.

The 3-0 loss marks NU's first of the season as well as the first time being shutout.
