Junior Liz Dyjak scored two goals, including the game-winner, and recorded two assists in a four-goal second half for the Huskies, leading Northeastern to a 4-1 win over St. Bonaventure at Parsons Field on Sunday.
Dyjak scored the game-winner at the 68:57 mark when she deflected a nice cross from Emma Enstrom past Bonnies' goalkeeper Courtney Nelson. Dyjak also picked up the first goal of the game for the Huskies in the 49th minute when she converted on a penalty kick after junior Jen North was fouled in front of the net.
Redshirt Freshman Kristin Kowalik, who also scored two goals, picked up her first goal of the game in the 75th minute when she redirected a corner kick from Dyjak into the net. Kowalik's second goal came just seven minutes later on another feed from Dyjak, putting a strong shot in the upper left corner of the net.
St. Bonaventure's only goal came just three minutes into the match, when Heather MacDougall took off on a breakaway up the field and put a blast by NU goalkeeper Cynthia Slowik. Slowik only faced three shots on the day, and didn't record a save, while Nelson posted nine saves for the Bonnies. Northeastern outshot St. Bonaventure, 19-4.
The Huskies improve to 3-3 overall with the win, and travel to Holy Cross on Tuesday for a game at 4 p.m.
