The Northeastern women's soccer team won its second consecutive game with a 2-0 win over tournament-host Vermont on Sunday.
Northeastern's players swept the Vermont Tournament awards. Junior goalie Annie Petrofsky was named the tournament defensive MVP, posting two shutouts in the two tournament games. Senior co-captain Kristin Kowalik earned the tournament offensive MVP honor with her game-winning goal sunday, while junior defender Laura Johnson was named the overall tournament MVP.
Kowalik started the scoring 16 minutes into the game with an assist from freshman midfielder Sophia Palmquist.
Two minutes later sophomore forward Caitlin Whelan scored her first goal of the season off a corner kick from sophomore forward Hanna Olsson.
Petrofsky made five saves to keep Vermont score less.
The Huskies look to continue their winning streak Friday at Boston College at 7 p.m.
