The Northeastern women's soccer team lost its second game of the season Sunday to No. 11 Penn State. The Huskies fell 2-0 in the second game of the Harvard Tournament.
Penn State outshot the Huskies 20-8, allowing NU only two shots on goal in the game. The Lions scored first in the 13th minute when Allie Long crossed the ball to Sarah Dwyer for a goal past Husky keeper Annie Petrofsky.
Penn State scored the second goal of the game in the 69th minute when Denay Riley headed the ball in off a corner.
Northeastern's two best chances to score came in the second half. In the beginning minutes redshirt freshman midfielder Liza Rebello hit the post and with three seconds left in the game sopfomore forward Jenna Lucchesi hit the crossbar.
Petrofsky made five saves on the day.
The Huskies are back in action against CAA opponent George Mason Friday at 6 p.m. at Parsons Field.
