The Northeastern University women's soccer team tied No. 16 William & Mary 2-2 on Sunday.
W&M (9-1-2, 3-0-1) got on the scoreboard first in the 26th minute when junior midfielder Donna Mataya fielded a pass from freshman Krissy Vornadore and blasted a shot from 15 yards out that sailed into the upper left corner of the goal.
The Huskies evened the contest 15 minutes later when redshirt freshman forward Liza Rebello took a cross from senior forward Kristin Kowalik and scored from just in front of the goal.
Mataya scored her second goal of the game in the 71st minute to give the Tribe the 2-1 advantage.
The Huskies knotted the contest in the 82nd minute when Kowalik sent a shot from 15 yards out into the goal.
Northeastern outshot the Tribe 6-4 in overtime but were unable to get the ball past goalie Meghan Walker.
The Huskies are home at Parsons Field Friday at 6 p.m. against UNC Wilmington.
