The women's soccer season ended with a 2-1 loss at Old Dominion in the Colonial Athletic Association Quarterfinals Monday.
The Huskies gave up an early goal in the 10th minute of play to ODU's Shavon Knight. The game stayed at 1-0 for 35 minutes before teh Monarchs struck again.
Just 43 seconds into the second half Katie Watson put ODU up 2-0 with her 13th goal of the season.
Northeastern had some chances in the second half when Caitlin Whelan and Laura Johnson hit the post with 32 minutes left in the match. The Huskies scored with one second on the clock as Kristin Kowalik passed to Jenna Lucchese to the right of the box and she shot it into the lefthand corner.
Junior keeper Annie Petrofsky made three saves to keep the Huskies in the game.
Northeastern finished the season with a 9-6-4 (5-4-3 CAA) record and a perfect 7-0 record at Parsons Field.
Kowalik finishes her career with with 73 points and 30 goals, the most in NU history. Her 12 assists are good for third place in the Husky record books.
This season redshirt freshman Liza Rebello led the Huskies with six goals and freshman Sophia Palmquist led NU with four assists.
