| The women’s soccer team lost 2-1 against James Madison on Friday. The Huskies now stand a 7-8-1 and 3-4-1 in the CAA.
The lone Huskies goal was scored by jjunior forward Liza Rebello in the 75th minute of play. Rebello was able to dribble through the Duke’s defense before going one on one with the goalie and burying the ball in the back of the net. Unfortunately for the Huskies they could not tally another point to send the game into overtime.
Two goals by James Madison junior Corky Julien were enough to beat the Huskies in regulation play. The Dukes are currently third in the CAA.
Goalkeeper Stephanie Gordon made seven saves on the night and played spectacular between the pipes.
The Huskies take on VCU at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
