To earn national recognition a team must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. The Huskies are coming off a huge year after winning the CAA Championship and making it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Freshman Veronica Napoli was named CAA Rookie of the Year and was also named to both the All-CAA third team and All-CAA Rookie team along with Gabbi Jatkola. Matthews scored two goals and had two assists for the Huskies this season. Her first goal was a game-winner which she scored on a penalty kick against Creighton on Sept. 5 in the first game of the Regina Moench Tournament. She netted her second goal against Towson on Oct. 3. This is the first loss for the Huskies since Oct. 24 when the team fell to James Madison. Stephanie Gordon once again turned in a stellar performance. At 19:56 in the second half she made an outstanding save as the BC shot looked like a sure goal until Gordon dove to her left and managed to deflect the ball away with her finger tips.
