Palmquist named to All-CAA third team
Despite missing five games due to injury the Goteborg, Sweden native tallied two goals and an assist and was second on the team with five points. She scored the game-winning goal in double overtime to give the Huskies the 1-0 win in the season opener over Binghamton. Palmquist also scored in the opening minute of the Huskies 4-1 win over Delaware Oct. 26.
Palmquist was named to the 2007 preseason All-CAA team after leading the team with four assists in 2006. As a freshman Palmquist totaled four goals and 12 points to earn CAA Rookie of the Year, All-CAA first team and CAA All-Rookie team honors.
The Huskies finished the 2007 season 4-11-3 (2-7-2) after battling with injuries to multiple starters, including Palmquist, throughout the year.

Boston, MASophomore midfielder Sofia Palmquist of the Northeastern University women’s soccer team has been named to the All-Colonial Athletic Association third team the conference announced Thursday.
