NCAA Championship
Allen raced in the preliminaries of the 400 on Wednesday and placed fourth in her heat with a time of 53.48. That ranked her 15th and qualified her for Friday's semifinals. On Friday, Allen ran a time of 53.18 and placed sixth in her heat and 12th overall, just missing the final.
In the qualifying round of the pole vault, Chmielewski cleared the opening height of 12'3.5 but could get no higher and placed 24th. Chmielewski took sixth in the pole vault at the NCAA Championship during the indoor season with a Northeastern record vault of 13'9.25.
The NCAA Championship capped off a stellar 2004-05 season for the Husky women's track and field program. Northeastern dominated both the America East indoor and outdoor championships and swept nearly every conference award. Northeastern becomes a member of the Colonial Athletic Association in 2005-06.

Sacramento, CANortheastern's Ahndraea Allen and Laura Chmielewski competed in the 2005 NCAA Championship June 8-10 in Sacramento, Calif. Allen, a senior, made her second appearance in the meet, and placed 12th in the 400 to earn All-America honors. Chmielewski qualified for the national championship for the third time in a row and took 24th.
