The Huskies women's track & field team was the first Northeastern team to win a Colonial Athletic Association title on Saturday, April 20, 2007, in Harrisonburg,Va. The Huskies celebrate their title below. Also see Friday's story and photos and Saturday's full story & results.
Zara Northover started the day with a CAA meet record in the shot put.
Then Tramaine Shaw won the 100 hurdles in an NU and meet record time.
Aquilla Williams-Judge took sixth in the 100 hurdles.
Amber Gibney (front) and Natalee Pennicooke finished second and fourth, respectively, in the 800.
Erin Ballard was right behind, placing seventh in the 800.
Shaw followed up her win in the 100 hurdles with a win in the 400 hurdles.
Kristie Gagnon scored five key points in the steeplechase after placing third in the 10,000 on Friday.
Laura McCloskey finished right behind Gagnon in fifth in the steeplechase.
Consandria Walker's third-place finish in the triple jump put the Huskies ahead of William & Mary.
Lauren Roscus also competed in the triple jump.
The Huskies 4x400 relay was led off by Shaw.
DaviAnn Brown ran the second leg of NU's 4x400 relay.
Shanae Henry ran the third leg of the 4x400 relay.
And Gibney anchored the 4x400 relay, bringing home the Huskies' first-ever CAA Championship.
Northover was named CAA Field Athlete of the Year and accepts her award from the CAA's Brad Taylor.
Shaw (right) was named CAA Co-Track Athlete of the Year with George Mason's Murielle Ahoure.
